Which YETI Hard cooler is for me?
Ultimately, the person who knows best about which YETI hard cooler you should buy is, well, you. We might not be able to tell you how you are going to use your cooler but we can offer some advice on which cooler is best suited for you and your adventures.
How long will ice last in a YETI Hard Sided Cooler?
There are many variables that affect ice retention in a coolerāincluding ice quality, ice quantity, and the outside environmentāso this is a difficult question to answer. In short, this means thereās a lot you can do to affect the longevity of your iceāeither positively or negatively. Because of the large number of variables, as well as the lack of an industry standard for measuring ice retention, claims that place a definite time (5, 10, 14 days) are often based on testing conditions and not real-life situations. True to our word, TundraĀ® and RoadieĀ® Hard Coolers are built with up to three inches of polyurethane foam insulation, combined with a freezer-style sealing gasket to ensure a design conducive to ice retention. Beyond that, here are a few best practices for keeping ice longer in your cooler. Additionally, check out this resource if you are interested in understanding how to handle and use dry ice in YETI Hard Sided Coolers.
Do YETI Hard Shell Coolers keep items hot?
Yes, YETI hard shell coolers are built for unparalleled temperature retentionāmeaning they will keep your hot things hot, just as well as, keep your cold things ice-cold. Because of the large number of variables, as well as the lack of an industry standard for measuring ice retention, claims that place a definite time (5, 10, 14 days) are often based on testing conditions and not real-life situations.
Is there a warranty?
These hard coolers come with a five-year warranty. For more details visit our Warranty Information page or contact an outfitter.
Are TUNDRAĀ® Coolers leakproof?
No, like all YET|Ā® Hard Coolers, these need to release pressure in order to be dry-ice compatible so they are not 100% leakproof. If they ever end up on their side or upside down, liquid will likely spillout. That said, we've taken extreme engineering measures to minimize leaks. But if leakproof performance is critical to you, we recommend checking out our HopperĀ® Soft Cooler Family.
